22# EAudio Books

I think this is a great idea for libraries. I have had some people, especially older people who know how to use technology ask about ebooks. It would be good to offer this service. One benefit is we could offer many more books instead of just having only a few talking books in the library.

Of course there is the issue of patrons having to get a computer in the first place and having a reliable internet connection.

21# Podcasts

I looked at Itunes because I didnt want to install any software for podcasts since I wont be using this.

Yahoo podcasts doesnt seem to exist anymore so I had to look around a bit, thats how I ended up with itunes, I added an RSS Feed for this but i dont think i will be needing it. If I wont to look at it (which wont be often) I can just go to the website. I also added a feed for another library podcast. It didnt seem to work though, Im guessing its because I dont have the software installed but I was able to read what it was about.

I guess this would be good for libraries to show what we have to offer and to show the public that we are up with the technology times!

14# Technorati

Ive looked at this and I think its a pretty good idea. At first I didnt think I would want to look at other peoples blogs but they can be very informative.

There are blogs on things like technology of course so it helps to look at what other people are blogging about. I dont think I would add my blog on there though. If I want information I will still just use google to look for things. If a blog comes up about the subject I want I will look at it but want bother going to technorati directly.

7# Technology

I want to talk about Google Maps.

I love it! I especially love the new street maps. I can be a stalker ha ha. Its fun to look at friends houses and my own house. Of course its a worry that anyone can do this so there are privacy issues. I think this is not such a big problem though because you cant see peoples faces and cars numbeer plates are blocked out.

I sometimes use Google maps for directions to places, it tells me how long it will take to get there which i like, of course its not completely right because you have to look at changes to roads and how you drive!

This is one of the things I will continue to use after Web 2.0 finishes though.

13# Tagging - Delicious

Ok so I think I'm a bit confused with the numbers but I'm sure Christian can figure it out.

Ive been looking at Delicious and I think its a pretty good idea. I can see the benefits of looking at what others have tagged and bookmarked. you dont have to go through everything yourself, you just go to what others have tagged and go from there. There is a lot of tagged sites on libraries and technology so its pretty good. I just dont have the time to look at everything but its interesting to see whats out there.
